Here we have a 2024 Clemence Munro British Watchmakers Day Exclusive. Inspired by vintage field watches but with a colourful Union Flag twist, only four watches in two dial variations were made in total, making this a collectable one of two. The 37.5mm polished and brushed 316L stainless steel round case sits comfortably on your wrist thanks to refined tapered drilled lugs, and a polished chamfer edge leads the eye to a lug-to-lug length of 44.5mm and a case thickness of 10mm. A signed screw-down crown with deep knurling for grip is on the right side. The smooth brushed bezel has a polished chamfer edge, lifting it from the case and holding a box sapphire crystal AR coated in 8 layers on the inside, resembling the domed crystals of the past, in keeping with its vintage aesthetic sitting above a striking blue cross-hair dial. A domed white minute chapter ring has red accents at the hour surrounding applied polished Arabic 12 and 6 numerals and batons filled with Grade A BGW9 Super-LumiNova. Polished arrow hands are filled with the same crisp white lume and are complemented by a counterweighted sweeping second hand. At noon, we have the Clemence motif, and at 6 o’clock, the Clemance logo its shape is a tribute to the “Dirty Dozen'' military issue Broad Arrow; on the outer edge, we find “Britain” a proud recognition that the watch is assembled in Britain. On the reverse, a screw-down hermetically sealed case back with the details of the watch and a blank star pattern engraved in the centre, inside a quality automatic Miyota Cal. 9039, 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, with hand winding and hacking seconds for your convenience.
