2023 Swatch x Omega Moonswatch Mission to Mars

Here we have a 2024 Swatch x Omega Moonswatch Mission to Mars, part of the Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection, which features 11 planets found in our solar system. This is the first collaboration between Omega and Swatch, incorporating the best elements of the Speedmaster and the modern materials used by Swatch. It was launched on March 26, 2022, to huge fanfare, with massive crowds trying to buy the first batch at only a few Swatch boutiques around the world. The 42mm red BioCeramic case curves over your wrist with the characteristic Omega twisted lugs. Bioceramic is composed of a mixture of ceramic and bio-sourced materials, including those found in castor-plant oil. A lug-to-lug length of 47mm and a case thickness of 13mm ensure a comfortable fit. Down the right side, we have the recessed piston chronograph pushers and a signed push/pull crown in the centre. The fixed bezel features a white insert with a black printed Tachymeter scale, accompanied by the ubiquitous Dot above the 90, holding a domed crystal with the hidden “S” at its centre, just like the original Speedmaster, above a white dial. An outer minute track is precisely executed with SuperLumiNova-coated baton indexes marking the hours; at 3 o’clock, a 10-hour register; at 6 o’clock, a continuous seconds register; and finally, at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute register. Each white register is slightly recessed with a red rocket-shaped hand as seen on the Omega Alaska project watch with its red protective casing. Slender sword hands infilled with SuperLumiNova are complemented by a red tapered chronograph hand. At noon, we have the Omega x Swatch motif, and at 9 o’clock, “Speedmaster” completes this dynamic celestial-inspired collaboration chronograph. On the reverse, we find the watch details engraved into the BioCeramic, along with a Mars-themed hatch for the battery. It comes paired with its 20mm white-coloured Swatch x Omega Velcro strap. This watch is sold with its original Swatch x Omega Mars box and paperwork.
