Here we have a 2022 Panerai Luminor Blu Mare 44mm Manual PAM01085 inspired by Panerai’s 1950s combat watch, the ref. 6152 with its iconic 44mm cushion stainless steel case, polished surfaces lead to thick, straight, screwed lugs that hug the wrist with a lug-to-lug length of 54.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is the characteristic crown guard, featuring a release and locking mechanism. A smooth, polished bezel holds a sapphire crystal above a sunburst blue dial, bearing indexes and Arabic numerals coated in Luminor marking the hours. This process has been perfected since its inception in the 1930s. Luminor is based on Luminova and has been developed by Panerai since the 1950s. The two hands are white and filled with Luminor in striking contrast to the black of the dial. At 9 o’clock, a small second sundial, at 12 o’clock, we have “Luminor Panerai", and at 6 o’clock, the Officine Panerai (OP) logo completes this distinctive dive watch. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with the watch's details engraved into it, inside a manually wound Panerai Cal. P.6000, 19 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour, this movement was introduced in 2018 and has hacking seconds and up to a 3-day power reserve.
