2023 Norqain Wild ONE Hakuna Mipaka Limited Edition

Here we have a special 2023 Norqain Wild ONE Hakuna Mipaka Limited Edition, One of 500 pieces, made to celebrate the successful partnership with wildlife Ambassador Dean Schneider, who runs the Hakuna Mipaka Oasis in South Africa, a place for rescued wild animal rehabilitation. The 42mm case is made of several components: a robust, lightweight proprietary black NORTEQ material cage outer layer secured with screws, a sand-coloured rubber shock absorber inner layer made with the sand from Hakuna Mipaka and a sandblasted Titanium container holding the movement and protected by the rubber shock absorber. A lug-to-lug length of 49mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a signed rubber-coated screw-down crown with deep knurling is protected by rubber crown guards. The smooth bezel holds a double domed sapphire crystal AR coated above a black stamped Lion fur textured dial, an outer minute chapter ring surrounds applied flat diamond cut skeletonised baton indexes tipped with Super-LumiNova X1 marking the hours, faceted skeletonised diamond cut minute and hour hands tipped with Super-LumiNova X1 are complemented an arrow pointed second hand, at 12 o’clock we have the Norqain motif and at 6 o’clock and applied Hakuna Mipaka logo. On the reverse a sapphire exhibition case back engraved with the details of the watch, “We need to learn to love them exactly the way they are and not the way we wish them to be!“ a poignant quote from Dean Schneider and printed Hakuna Mipaka logo “One of 500” in the centre, inside an automatic Norqain NN20/1 by Kenissi, 27 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, COSC Certified, fitted with the skeletonised Norqain signed rotor has the golden mirrored “N” logo applied to it. Kenissi is named after the ancient Greek Kenesis meaning movement, owned by Tudor, who in 2016 decided to develop and manufacture their own self-winding calibre under the name Kenissi, launching the first in collaboration with Breitling and later with Chanel; they are produced and developed in their factory in Le Locle Switzerland. The watch comes paired with its 22mm integrated black rubber strap with a Hakuna Mipaka pattern, and Norteq pin buckle, and the watch comes with its Norqain presentation box and paperwork.
