2023 Christopher Ward The Twelve Titanium Astral Blue 40mm
Here we have a 2023 Christopher Ward The Twelve Titanium Astral Blue, their first integrated sports watch since the C20 Lido of 2008. The design by Will Brackfield is inspired by the iconic Gerald Genta 1970s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus. The 40mm tonneau-shaped polished, sandblasted and brushed Grade 2 Titanium case flows over your wrist with crisp edges and sharp lines, for a distinctive quality aesthetic. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown with deep knurling protected by screwed-in crown guards. The star of the show is the polished and brushed 12-sided (dodecagonal) bezel with scalloped edges, sitting on a bevel-edged platform, holding an AR-coated sapphire crystal above a stunning 3-dimensional Astral Blue dial, made up of Christopher Ward twin-flag pyramids. An outer minute chapter ring surrounds applied diamond-polished and brushed dagger indexes filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL C1 to mark the hours. As you rotate your wrist, the dial, indexes and hands play with the light in a magical way. At 6 oâclock, a colour-coded date window, elegant diamond-polished and brushed hands filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL C1, and a tapered, sweeping second hand are complemented. At 12 oâclock, we have the applied Christopher Ward Twin-flag motif and âAutomaticâ printed at 6 oâclock, completing this dynamic and versatile sports watch. On the reverse, a 12-sided - dodecagonal screwed-down exhibition case back with 6 exposed screws is a nice tribute to the Royal Oak, inside an automatic Sellita Cal. SW300-1 COSC, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, a robust and reliable movement, with a bespoke âColimaçonĂ©â finishing (a type of twisting sunray graining). The rotor has a double Twin-flag engraving across it. The watch comes paired with a brushed and diamond-polished, quick-release 25mm Christopher Ward integrated Grade 2 Titanium bracelet with a gentle taper and signed butterfly clasp; all links are included, along with an additional fitted CW rubber strap. The watch also includes its original Christopher Ward box, COSC Certificate, and paperwork.
