2022 Seiko Suigun “Samurai” Limited Edition Red 44mm SRPH61K1
Here we have a 2022 Seiko Suigun “Samurai” Red SRPH61K1 Limited Edition of 3500 pieces. Taking its inspiration from the ancient Japanese naval forces called “Suigun”, the traditional armed forces on water. This 44mm brushed and polished stainless steel cushion case features the characteristic, aggressive angles and drilled lugs that curve over your wrist for a comfortable fit. Its curvaceous, polished flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 48mm and a case thickness of 13mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side, a protected screw-down crown with knurling for extra grip. A unidirectional bezel features a diamond-patterned edge that is reminiscent of the handles of the Japanese sword. It has a black ceramic dive insert (with the first 15 minutes of the 60-minute scale highlighted in dark yellow). Protected by the dive bezel, its flat sapphire crystal is AR-coated on the inside above a stunning Red vermilion grid embossed dial that captures the deep Red vermilion of the coloured-lacquered armour worn by the “Suigun”. A red sloping outer minute chapter ring surrounds the applied gold-coloured trapezoidal and baton indexes filled in LumiBrite, marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a date window with Cyclops magnification. The gold-coloured arrow hands are filled in LumiBrite and are complemented by a sweeping second hand. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with the details of the watch etched around a Seiko tsunami wave embossed in the centre, inside an automatic Seiko 4R35, 23 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour, this workhorse movement has hacking seconds, quick-set date and hand winding for your convenience. It comes paired with its original Seiko 22mm brushed 3-link stainless steel bracelet secured by a signed fliplock three-fold clasp and dive extension; all links are provided, plus an additional black silicon strap and signed pin buckle in the box. This watch is sold with its original Seiko box, swing tag and Seiko paperwork.
