Inspired by the Japanese art style Kira-zuri, which translates to “sparkling painting,” this technique adds a sense of shine and vibrancy to the artwork. It features a brushed and polished 40mm stainless steel case that gently curves over your wrist, with tapered, drilled lugs. Highly polished surfaces, resulting in a lug-to-lug measurement of 46mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm, which gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a screw-down signed crown that sits slightly recessed. A smooth, polished bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal, AR-coated on the inside, above a stunning blue 'Kira Zuri' textured dial. An outer minute track surrounds the Zaratsu-polished baton indexes, with facet edges marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a framed date window is located. Elegant dauphine hands are Zaratsu polished with razor edges, complemented by a blue sweeping second hand, between the 7 and 8, a power reserve. At noon, the words “GS” and “Grand Seiko” motif; at 6 o’clock, a black printed “Spring Drive” completes this striking, mesmerising dial.
