2000s JLC Master Control Perpetual Calendar 18ct White Gold 37mm 140.3.80

Here we have an exquisite and rare 2000s JLC Master Control Perpetual Calendar 140.3.80. Its 37mm 18ct White Gold round case is only 10mm thick, giving it an elegance when worn. Finely bevelled lugs and a lug-to-lug length of 43mm ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, there is a signed crown. Its polished bezel holds a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The sunray brushed silver dial has an outer minute track with lumed pips surrounding arrowhead indexes, expertly faceted and an applied six marking the hours. At noon, we have a month register with a year window; at 3 o’clock, a day register; at 6 o’clock, a moonphase, and at 9 o’clock, a date register, each with a delicate blued hand. In the centre, an aperture is indicated in white when it is safe to adjust the perpetual calendar, and red when not between (10 pm -> 3 am). Skeletonised Dauphine's hands are complemented with a blued steel centre seconds hand, adding a sophisticated pop of colour to this classic dial. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back with the details of the watch engraved around its edge and Master Control JL embossed in the centre, inside an automatic JLC Cal. 889/440/2, 50 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. IWC Head Watchmaker Mr Kurt Klaus designed this perpetual calendar module with an ingenious synchronisation of the calendar using a single pusher at 8 o’clock. The movement is certified ‘Master Control 1000 Hours’, meaning the watch is tried and tested in its case for 1000 hours, almost 6 weeks, surpassing COSC testing. It comes paired with its original 19mm JLC leather strap with a signed 18ct White Gold deployant buckle. This watch is sold with a JLC Service box and 2024 JLC Service paperwork.
