Here we have a 2000s Breguet Type XX Transatlantique Flyback 3820, introduced in 1995. It was inspired by the Type 20 military pilot watches from the 1950s, whose highly legible design remained in production until the 1970s. Featuring a curvaceous 39mm polished and brushed stainless steel case that sits comfortably on your wrist with thick tapered lugs. Its polished, curved flanks have an attractive ribbed section leading to a lug-to-lug length of 45.5mm and a case thickness of 13.5mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. Down the right side, we have the piston chronograph pushers and a deep knurled signed crown in the centre. The steel-domed brushed 60-click bidirectional bezel features a deep-engraved 60-minute scale and a domed sapphire crystal above a matte-black dial. An outer minute track surrounds large Arabic indices coated in lume, marking the hours. At 6 o’clock, a framed date window. The Flyback chronograph consists of the 3 o’clock, 30-minute register with a white leaf hand filled with lume; at 6 o’clock, a 12-hour register and finally at 9 o’clock a running seconds register, each slightly recessed, printed with white numerals and a stick hand.
