1973 Zenith 28,800 9ct Gold 33mm Presentation Watch

Here we have a classic 1973 Zenith 28,800 9ct Gold Presentation Watch that has a 33mm 9ct Yellow Gold C-shaped case. The curve of the case leads your eye to the stubby, flat-ended lugs. A lug-to-lug length of 39.5mm and a thickness of 9mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. A slim bezel holds a domed crystal above a white dial. An outer minute track has applied baton indexes with chamfered edges, gold accents and black-painted centres. Slender sword hands have the same gold and black combination for a sophisticated yet simple design. A tapered sweeping second hand completes the dial. The text is minimalist with the applied gold Zenith star and “Zenith 28800” printed underneath at 12 o’clock. On the reverse, a snap-off case back with the inscription “M. Guernari 1950-1975 Moler Products Limited” was engraved into it. Moler Products, based in Hythe near Colchester, produced Moler bricks used in industry to line hot surfaces in furnaces and kilns. The company was founded in 1919 and dissolved in the 1970s. Inside, we have a Manually Wound Zenith Cal. 2562 C, 17 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on an 18mm Strap Tailor leather strap.
