Here we have a 1970s LeJour Black PVD Chronograph, featuring a black PVD-coated tonneau-shaped case that sits comfortably on your wrist, with hooded lugs, nicknamed the ‘Poor-Man's Heuer’. Its curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 42mm and a case thickness of 13mm. Down the right side, we have the chronograph pushers and a coin-edged crown in the centre. Its domed crystal sits above a dynamic matte black bicompax dial. An outer sloped Tachymeter scale chapter ring surrounds a precisely executed minute track with Tritium-coated baton indexes marking the hours, at 3 o’clock a 30-minute register, at 6 o’clock a framed date window and finally at 9 o’clock a running seconds, black and white baton hands filled with Tritium are complemented by an orange tapered chronograph hand. At noon, we have the LeJour motif, printed underneath and at 6 o’clock, ‘Chronograph’ ‘17 Jewels’ ‘Incabloc’ completes this stealthy vintage bicompax. On the reverse, a screw-down stainless steel case back is engraved with the details of the watch and inside a manually wound Valjoux 7734, 17 jewels, beating at a leisurely 18,000 beats per hour.
